Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry provides both formal and informal experiences for young people to learn, celebrate and serve as members of the Catholic community and to grow in their understanding of Christ’s message.  To be effective, ministry with youth seeks to achieve a balance among the many components of a comprehensive ministry, each of which revolves around the community’s own life.  The eight components of Youth Ministry, as 
outlined in the document “Renewing the Vision," National Conference of Catholic Bishops, are Advocacy, Catechesis, Evangelization, Community Life, Leadership Development, Pastoral Care/Guidance, Prayer & Worship, and Justice, Peace & Service.

Youth 2 Youth Team --
The Youth 2 Youth team works September through April to plan the two-day retreat.  High school students on the Team develop the theme with prayer opportunities, games, witness talks, Mass and reconciliation services.  Students grow in their own faith while also learning to create an environment for others to develop and grow in their relationship with Jesus.  We are looking for team members.
