My name is Kristi Furtaw and I have been teaching 4th and 5th grade at Auburn Area Catholic School since 2010.  I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with minors in Science and English from Saginaw Valley State University.  Prior to joining Auburn Area Catholic School I taught 5 years of 2nd grade, 3 years of 4th grade and 3 years of 2nd/3rd split.  I have also taught 5^th grade Science and was a Title I teacher.  I believe that all children can learn and all are unique.  They should be respected for their differences and should have a sense of pride in their education.  I enjoy interacting with the children and seeing those “ah-ha” moments.  I also enjoy sharing my knowledge of the world with them and my experience with God!  My husband and I have 2 children and 1 fish.  In my spare time I enjoy camping throughout Michigan, reading, gardening and spending time with my family.
